Oh, yea that's for sure. We are landlocked and with an F#$Ked up Fed Gov from Eastern Canada and a Mountain range to the west and Frozen artic to the North and USA to the south we should be kissing the USA's ass instead of thinking were better than them.

Ag is Dead or dying in Canada a slow death.

Not really since fuel is so cheap. (Sarcasm)
By hey man do we ever hope fuel rises so all Canadians can become debt free! And build more stadiums and going in circle bypasses. Let's just worry about how we sell our excess fuel so that the domestic price will rise because everyone wants our fuel right??? Good for everyone. Hahahaha
Couldn't even fathom the production advantage we would have not just farming if our main cost to do business was lowest compared to other countries.
      Thank you mallee!

Going by the numbers in the graphic it would seem Canada uses about twice the amount domestically compared to Australia. About 75 percent of the barley crop will be used at home this year with ending stocks to use around 17%

Canadian exports of barley is on track to be the largest amount since 2008. Not counting malt. I should have made that clearer. I meant barley malt from a maltster that is exported. Not malt barley.

Southern Alberta feedlot alley was around 255-260 last week

            Not this year
Actually that would depend on location. Some areas malt prices would be a touch better

Its all about feed going to China for Malt.

Malt game is done. China figured out why not buy good barley and make beer like they use to do.

Bigwheel, the Oz-man is paying $1.02/liter. But I bet their whole "system" uses less fuel on a per bushel basis to produce and move that bushel to port.

                EDIT

A hundred and two dollars an liter.....lol, ooops.
