CP engineers and conductors can go out on April 21....

You would think given the winter that management would avoid these things by getting the contract settled long before they walk out or the company locks them out...

Coincidence of convenience to their poor performance?

I guess the government will get involved when its a crisis.

Haven't heard the conservatives raise the issue to Marc Garneau yet and the astronaut hasn't been able to figure it out on his own yet.

They already took the winter off, maybe they enjoy holidays too much?

They should be legislated back since this is an essential service.

They likely will be legislated back. Just depends how long before it happens. I believe the last one was 4 days so probably around that time frame.

That is very alarming and troubling news for the share holders!

Significant challenges ahead, the senior management team must focus on utilization of assets and efficiencies internally and externally, transition/succession and replacement to save the company must start sooner than later.

Trouble is , Harrison gutted the company to the bone , both CN and CP, now they simply don’t have enough operators to keep up to demand.
This fault goes back to Harrison helping out shareholders backs years ago.

Did he help shareholders by losing opportunities to move larger volumes of freight?

Or by not spending capital and maintain a 1960s volume on the railways?

Some shareholders have to be questioning the vision when it is essentially crippling the economy of western canada at a minimum and by extension the entire country.

Agree , just pointing out Harrison is mostly to blame for the current situation.
