    2018 Seeding Plans?

Has everyone got their plans ready to execute?
With so much uncertainty in most commodities and dry conditions existing I find have found this year the most difficult in deciding what to grow.
Prices for the most part are in the toilet and will be that way for sometime. Basically we are all over producing world wide and is causing these prices to be where they are at today.
I have cleaned a lot of durum and wht, but still don’t know the percentage of acres. Pulse prices are well we all now where, looks like there will be a sea of yellow especially if us in he south can get get some rains before we hit the field.
Interesting year ahead, just hope the guys in south can manage more than 7 tenths.

Not changing plans yet. I put NH3 on most of my fields last fall so peas this year.

Start seeding wheat then on to canola then Finnish up with feed barley. Hopefully starting around the middle of May and Finnish up before the 5th of June. If it gets later than that re-evaluate.

      Time to re-evaluate.

Canola same wtf would I want to add acres.

        Hrs same as last year

        Barley up a hair

        Peas down a hair.

Oats out of picture but have cleaned seed if late.

One drill will start wheat other will donpeas then barley then join wheat. After the 16th May bigger drill will start canola and second will finish wheat before joining canola.

No extra land as why work harder for less money if it freezes who needs the headache of extra land. We’re due in sask can’t keep over producing every year.

I have an uneasy feeling the feed barley market will be flooded once again.
