    Gas Prices

Anyone notice the gas prices at the pumps....almost $1.20/liter. Where is $145 crude?

The word competition barely exists in the retail fuel market. Collusive gouging is a much better description.

Gasbuddy says Cheyenne gas $1.32 to $1.42, that sounds like about 65 cents a litre.

And our Canadian refineries are buying Canadian crude at $44.90 a barrel and Americans are buying Brent at $64.90. Go figure Farmaholic.

Rack price in Saskatoon is 70 cents for 87 octane gas and .82 to .85 cents for diesel. Getting some good markup in the city.

If Rack price means wholesale that's pretty good margin on fuel with the volume they would pump. years ago I had friends with a service station and they said they only had 5cents margin and I thought that wasn't very good but 40 or 50 cents is insane

Rack price does not include taxes, and is where all wholesalers like Esso, petrol can, fast gas etc. get their bulk fuel from.

$1.50/l in BC right now soon to be 1.60 with the carbon tax. Lamestream keeps everyone worried about deflation. When was the last time anyone has seen it? Deflation the mythical beast all while the inflationary beast eats the middle class alive.

Maybe deflation is like the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and Unicorns.... all feel good make believe things! And then one day we grow up and realize those things don't exist. WTF do I know.
