Barley pricing saudi on the rise as well

#Saudi Grains Organization (#SAGO) booked 960,000 MT of Feed #Barley, at an average price of $243.47 PMT for April - May 2018 deliveries.
(+12.3% compared to the previous booking).

25 companies were invited to the tender, 16 participated, and only 6 got the award.

    $27US above last tender

Maybe our GrainCos could reject more delivered malt to help fill the orders.

Saudi = G3, any funny business happening there with malt?

SALIC is the company that owns G3.

Saudi Arabia will be buying grain after shitcanning their desalination irrigation projects....

I don't know but am guessing Canada didn't get in on that deal.
Some was sent last Ap/May when prices were lower.
Can't match that price now when ocean freight factored in. Majority of exports going to China

All the barley G3 buys goes out by truck to feedlots.

Too far away/too expensive. Black Sea and Aussie barley flooding into that market.

Since 2011 and with the exception of 2015 Argentina has sent lots of barley to Saudi Arabia as well

West australia has huge advantage going into middle east but not sure were the barley origin was.
