    Taliban taking over Afghanistan

So after all those lives lost and billions spent the Taliban is taking over Afghanistan again.
Who benefits from all those wars and who pays for it all?

Why don't those people stay there and fight their own battles? It's beyond stupid.
But keep feeding the arms makers and look up who they are

Yup. A waste of lives and billions of dollars, it seems.

The arms makers of today are the equivalent of yesteryear's bootleggers. Follow the money.

Or is it about the root cause .... opium ?

Trump not a fan of drugs , ie. opium .
Taliban want to ban opium production.
The other presidents took out the Taliban to keep the drug money flowing ?
      Trump won’t .

Undoubtedly opium is a huge part of the picture Furrow. Little change from when my ancestors were trying to police this unruly part of what they considered "the Northwest Frontier" of British India. An absolute hornets nest of warring tribal factions holed up in some of the toughest country you could ever fight in. Best left to their own devices. Ditto for Yemen.

It is of little wonder that there have been a few wars over this .

              Agreed....Opium.. Follow the money.
I asked an Afghan/canadian cab driver about the historical turmoil of that country. He said it is the natural resources and opium.
His opinion was that the soldiers from any other country were not there for the well being of the Afghan population.

We don’t call them “shithole countries” anymore.

                  Just “turd world countries”.
