Companies are ditching Canada for Trump's New US

Campbell soups were produced in Toronto for 87 years. Off they go to US, along with hundreds of jobs. Canada is going to get squashed like a bug while our leader is showing off his socks. Guess where the ostrich's head is.

This will accelerate even if nafta stays in place...

Competitive advantages to the states are:

    1. Lower taxes
    2. No carbon tax
    3. Not pushing gender equality for business....finding the right person male or female is more important. There is a difference in strategy...
    4. Better capital cost deductions.
    5. Generational transfers are no death tax....

The American farmer is ahead on fuel freight chemical and fertilizer expenses and a better farm program

Campbell soup is in trouble, millennials not buying in to their product. This iconic brand may disappear.

The Canadian food processing industry has been on a decades long decline.

Your list sums up Campbell’s reasons well.
Likely the new minimum wage changes in Ontario were a factor as well.....a company in Southern Ontario can easily sell their real estate and move south to several choices of a more business friendly state.

Sockboy is currently at Davos Switzerland lecturing large corporations that Canada won’t be lowering tax rates to match the USA.....not to mention his usual other BS topics.
