    Y'all like wheat today !

MGE down again 8-10.25 cents USD

CAD down 27 points to boot, making the move down even bigger, on this side of the border.

I see Viterra has bumped their Px spreads as well. $0.05/tenth above 13.5, $0.08/tenth between 12.5 and 13.5, but now $0.10/tenth below 12.5. A buck a % is HUGE! On the upside, only $0.15 between #1 and #3 dogshit. At the moment in my neighborhood if you have less than a #1 12.0px you're money ahead to throw it through a cow...

Maybe this "low" protein, zero fuzz, zero "puke"-a-toxin wheat will be worth a "premium" next year if disease is an issue!

There never seems to be demand for the quality grain you grow the year you grew it......lol

Having a good durum experience with last year's carry-over.....so good I'm ALMOST tempted to grow it again! Someone needs a bouquet...so much easier to sell something when they actually want it.

Price drop was bad enough. Basis worsening with over 2 dozen ships on the west coast hurts more.
Prince Rupert alone has 6 ships for wheat in port now.
Not the day to sign a fresh delivery contract
Portland prices have backed off recently. Down about 50 cents CAD per bushel

Are those ships waiting for grain already bought or is getting the grain there an issue? ....why a widening basis then.

A 55000 tonne cargo is about 611 ninety tonne rail cars full...times 6 is 3666 cars....thats alot of unit trains.

And lots of space out west ...guess the grain cos expect farmers to pickup the demurrage for their dog****ing .....

Seems odd not too long ago farming101 was saying shipping was top notch....it isn't and hasn't been for a long time....

65 percent space at West coast.... 2mmt of boats ....and ****ing horrible rail movement....

Now add in the embarrassment of protein discounts ....no pulse movement....

Let's all grow canola next year and get to 26 million tonnes and watch it drop to 8 bucks because the end users know they can **** western Canadian farmers over with a simple tariff. ....
