The End of Livestock Ag - Disruptive Tech

    http://www.memphismeats.com

If and when this takes off... And it will with millennials and environment crazies to start... It will be disruptive to not only cattle producers but also grain farm's. Corn barley wheat beans canola meal all get fed to livestock.

No livestock no need for feed... Far less requirement for grains.

    Thoughts?

What scares me most is governments legislating livestock production out of existence...

And that is why my arguments of saving farm land are different than most....IMHO, technology will do more than the land......likely only a matter of time, although there will be still room for "real" meats, this could feed the world.....and likely cheaper eventually.

No thank-you. Is that meat just substance and texture or does it actually have any flavor of what it's supposed to replace without added seasoning?

Is our world evolving faster than it should?

Why bother pro-creating with another person... just clone yourself!
Is it possible to genetically engineer children from same sex parents?
See where this goes?...where do you draw the line?

Test tube meat. Maybe so but tofu has been around for years and it hasn't come close to replacing animal protein. It could complement growing need for protein but environmentally animal proteins in many instances make better use of resources than rendering a substitute in a factory. I could just see the parallels made to solyent green; "where'd all the dead people go?"
