Yes, signs of life, will need to watch grainco basis levels very closely. Too early to call it a buy. 2018 months a little stronger

Does it make sense to think the contracted grain is almost current and filling trains is getting tougher....lots of space west coast and prairies it seems by the lack of lineups. ....a rising Baltic dry index... wouldn't it be wise to have the grain in position....

Yields of spring wheat are probably known...2 bushels per acre to seed on the spring of 2018 .....all factors in ....not sure the access to high protein is a given. ...tight hands hold the stocks. ...

      IMHO. ..dumb****led farmer tm.

Farmers just aren't going to sell their good looking HRS wheat for $6.00/bus, atleast not till April or May! lol

on a side note, seems canola is swimming upstream today. Beans down 11-13 cents, soyoil down almost everyday in Sept, yet canola holding even today(so far).

That’s $7.50 before the bins open here before July. And build more bins if it don’t happen by then.

Hence the big protein spreads . They basically lowered the price they will have to pay for good number one wheat . There is lots out there at low protein so now they will only have to pay more for the higher protein and then blend up with cheap #1 low protein. Just a numbers game plus the harvest grab is pretty much done except for the north and western crop. But none of that will be a #1 anymore . So what's left for good protein #1 hrsw is in the bin now

I have a feeling the best prices for wheat will be June to August again.

                    Lock the bins.
