I think you are confusing special treatment with the demand by everyone in society to be treated equal under the law. If you look closely you will see that most of the groups you listed are not treated equally and are in many cases not doing as well as the rest of society. Since you are likely white, male and middle class it may be hard to understand that not everyone is treated the same as you because you have never experienced racism, bigotry, poverty etc.

Many of our ancestors were hard working refugees and economic migrants who came to this country looking for a better life which is what 99% of the current refugees are looking for. We have a good system for screening both immigrants and refugees. Considering that most of our towns and cities are full of recent and long term immigrants, if we did not we would already be in big trouble.

Chunk unless it's the actual people that write the charter of rights... the judges are using their opinion. I should start calling you fat boy Kim for trying to implying your views on everyone else......

Merely suggesting that your statement that the US was built on slavery denies a study of the gdp drivers (and math) through its history.

Comparing the Confederacy to German Nazis is far too simplistic and inaccurate.

Your issue at the beginning of this thread. Trump denouncing all violence but not singling out the correct group. Point made but leading to the tried and true hue and cry of 'racism' and a devolving of the conversation.
I'm not giving you the fight your looking for tonight.

Sorry Tweety. Rereading above post. Your general statement regarding ideas of supremacy being defeated is correct.

Chino is trying to divide the majority while we just want to be left alone. I really don't care what goes on outside of Canada. I have zero desire to start a war. Judging what's right and wrong outside of Canada is for the residents of that country to decide. I don't want govt spending my tax dollars outside Canada.

Macdon what happens in the rest world affects Canadians. You can try to live in a bubble and ignore fascism but it can bite you in the ass directly and indirectly.

Based on your idea that Canadians should not spend tax dollars outside of Canada then we would have never participated in the first and second world wars.
