You got to love our hard working Premier here in Manitoba. When Brian is holidaying in Costa Rica,(which is two months out of the year) he shuts off his provincial cell phone and does not receive emails. If any of his staff want to get a hold of Brain regarding provincial matters they have to contract him on his wife's personal cell phone or email. When it comes to security issues Brian asked his clerk if his wife's phone and email are just as secure as his, and the clerk yes it is, so Brain shut his off phone and email based on the advice of a clerk.While Brain was recently holidaying in Costa Rica he received provincial emails on his wife's email. No need to worry everything is ok the clerk said so!
Now, wasn't there an issue involving another politician making world wide head lines for using her personal email to receive government emails. Oh ya, that was Hilary Clinton! Those Republicans who are our Conservative's American cousins had a hey day with that one !
So there is no way Brain could have know that this could be a big problem, he probably never heard what happen to Hillary because he's on holidays and can't be reached.
