Sorry missed that Mcfarms. I've mentioned before the side effect of oil prices. Some here thought I was too negative? So what's everyone's plan? Down size? Sell? Walk away? As producers imo we really need to think about which country we hold our assets in. I'm seriously considering revoking my citizenship, now. **** the free Healthcare. Govt wants everything we own. We are the 1%.

A lot of lefties don't comprehend where the financing for their social programs comes from.

If Canada can't develop and sell natural resources......watch your wallet.

I've said it once I'll say it again. Lack of respect for the family unit for hard work for personal property and personal rights

          Rampant property crime.

          Indoctrination in the school system

          Not having free speech anymore.

          Rediculous taxation rates.

Is Canada really the country it was 15 or 20 years ago?

And all we cling to is this myth we're the only country with public health Care....

There's a lot of romance in being Canadian. Is it really that great when everyone works for the govt? We are about to find out...

I said from day one when JT was elected he was going to hammer us .
Between the carbon tax and this income tax raping he is going to do it.
There is a total lack of respect to hard working independent business like family farms . He is going to try to crush us .

Does everyone realize this will vaporize the land market if it goes through???? There'll be rush of capital fleeing Canada for friendlier tax rates. Leaving us with a loonie at 30-40 cents. No industry in the world will setup shop in Canada at these tax levels.

It's disasterous. I never was sold on the incorporation aspect with respect to family farms. The double taxation, first in corp, then in your own hands was destined to end badly. In the 70's we had 5-year income averaging. That was a god-send to farmers. Then accountants talked farmers into incorporating their operations. It was a make work program for accountants and farmers became so confused with the mixed books they never knew where they were at.

We now have 3 corps - all offfarm business and we know that we will be nailed by the tax man whenever we want to reap the fruit of our labour. That's the reward. Not impressed!

Sumdumguy...Farm incorporation is a form of personal tax deferral for the shareholders. But at least it gives you an opportunity to manage it.

It also gives a tremendous opportunity to grow an already very profitable farm even faster.....but "its all accounted for" and sooner or later......a day of reckoning comes....it's how its managed that matters.

The "REGRESSIVE" tax regime in Canada makes sure you will pay your way, and some other people's too, and not get way too far ahead of your fellow citizen without paying your fair share!
