    Gerald Butts

Wikipedia says he is a confidant and close personal friend, dating from college days, with Justin Trudeau.
Since 2014 he has been secretary to the prime minister.
Prior to that he was head of World Wildlife Fund Canada.
Was in the news when he charged taxpayers $126,669 for move from Toronto to Ottawa.
Subsequently agreed to pay back $46,618.
Sounds as if he and Trudeau think alike, wonder what people come next as influential advisors.
Not too enthused with the pair but Trump supporters make them look good to the rest of the world.

They all look pretty competent and professional in Canada compared to the circus south of the border. While some of you guys concern yourselves with Justin's sock choices it's got so ridiculous in the US you have difficulty discerning what is real and what is satire.
        The first article is real:

but this is satire, and she does it very well.

Your satire in this comment is a work in progress, but still passable as such.

At least, I assume you intended it as satire?

Because it would be difficult for any reasonable mind to describe anyone in federal government as competent OR professional, by any standard.

Unless, of course, you think it is professional to place terrorist sympathizers in power (Irqa Khalid), pay a King's ransom to a terrorist, advocate for FGM, stifle free speech, dictate moral choices to the caucus, make psychological/spiritual dysphoria the norm for all Canadians, etc.

And where Trump uses Twitter for his deliberately provocative tweets, sock puppet lets his socks do the talking - oh well, Sock boy's socks might be stinky, but at least they don't stammer!

AHAhahahaaaa, you crack me right up!

Yes grassy, I appreciate your efforts at satire. Keep working on it!

Rolling Stones has an article about our beloved PM, and how they would like him as their President. Is anyone currently working on finding a way to make this happen? I'd even be willing to trade straight across for the circus they have going on right now, just to get rid of JT, heck, I'd even throw in a handful of Premiers, including but not limited to Notley, and Wynne, if it is necessary to make the deal.

Butts and Trudeau have a hatred for Alberta, western Canada, energy sector, fossil fuel usage and seem to believe that all power should be based in Ottawa or Quebec.

The very liberal, unpatriotic magazine Rollingstone in the last year has glamorized the following people on their cover:
-One of the Boston Bomber brothers (Islamist terrorist who murdered marathon runners)
-Omar Kadr, Islamist terrorist who murdered an American medic and also built IED's same as the ones which killed 89 Canadians!!
-Justin Trudeau, who ironically paid terrorist Omar Kadr $10.5 million in an overnight deal to help him keep $ away from his victims family.
Interesting that Grassy types use this magazine as a source of information isn't it. 🙈

Trump on the other hand is pro-energy (oil, natural gas, coal, every power source) and tries to give his country the advantage.

Trump and Rick Perry are also cutting regulations to get action done unlike in Canada.
Trudeau has added an EXTRA level of reviews for pipelines, embargo on tanker traffic in northern BC, carbon taxes.....not surprising with Butts pulling the strings.

I don't think the majority of Canadians have begun to get even the tiniest glimpse of the negative impact that these Trudeau/Butts/Liberal policies are going to have on Canada.

These negative views and actions toward the development of our energy sector will cause not only immediate damage to energy development (eg: Petronas withdrawal) but long-term economic cratering that will exceed the damage of the Great Depression.

We will need to dig deep into our reserves of human creativity to overcome the effect of such "progressive" thinking. Is that even possible any more with societal mores being in decline as a result of "progressive" indoctrination?

                  What irony.

What is really ironic is that economic literacy of even the most basic level is not a prerequisite for a position such as Prime Minister, let alone those who area permitted to vote for them. Even the media and moderators at debates don't hold any politician to account for their complete lack of understanding of economic concepts. Meanwhile, those who do understand it, don't want anything to do with the politics due to the media, compensation, and the risk involved in abandoning their own business to run for election.

I think ONLY those that PAY income tax should get to vote...one hell of an incentive to get OFF your ass and contribute to society!!!!
Martin's off shore shipping corp should have disqualified him from office/parliament.

or in the case of the US, what is really scary is that literacy is not a prerequisite of being President.

And for all your economic gloom and doom and Canada not being gung ho about dropping environmental standards like the fool to the south it seems the economy here is recovering and Alberta is leading that economic growth. Must be the NDP lol.

Grassy. That reminds of the staged for tv event where Trudope was touring a science fair or University.

He was asked a question totally unrelated to his answer where he blurted out the definition of quantum physics.

It had nother to do with the question but he had to recite it before he forgot. The media never noticed but went onto dole out their love.
