MGEX Wheat and ICE Canola Prices

    Ouch as of late....

Getting ready for Harvest Happy Hour?

Maybe we(on our farm) will be the only ones with half the quantity of crop we had last year and the market won't have to pay too much for wheat and canola in the coming 17/18 marketing year.

Everyone else yielding "average"? Will suck to be me.

    Manitoba is looking good

    North of Calgary not bad

    Northern sk is ok

It's not gonna be a amazing year like the last few but it's not going to be a 0 year either.

Know what your revenue per acre target is and look for it.

Not really that different just get to put less hours on the trucks this year.

Kinger, sometimes the market won't make us profitable, just the way it is. If I didn't grow it that's my problem.

When we drowned in 2010, no big market moves.

Grain bins will be very important this year it appears.

Very surprised to not see a significant price increase for malt barley yet.

Oh but they believe it's a boomer of a crop.
Heat makes little seed and high protein.

                That harvest is coming

We are short canola right now and even if it is a small crop guys will be hauling to the elevator. Puts pressure on prices etc.

Or China did something. 50/50 either way

Canola traders know **** all. Not one 60 plus crop out their. Even the Dude with the 100 Bushel wink wink yield.

Its half what last year was

Those ******* are just killing the market so they can buy in and push the market up and make shit loads of money. True price discovery is long gone. Hedgefund donkeys manipulate the markets to there advantage when at all possible. Heard one trader say it rained in South Dakota so that automatically means it must have saved the spring wheat crop. Give me a ****in break. Total bullshit artists.
