    Here come the lentils

Anyone combining yet in the Swift area??

Here are the neighbors lentils next to us.

Turning very quickly now. I would say spraying or swathing in next day or two

Lots and lots of ripe lentils around Swift Current. Its the end of July and in the dirty eighties we were beating grasshoppers and aphids daily. The grasshoppers would plug the lentil swather radiators and cricket guts plugged the unloading auger. Now the flex headers make lentil harvest a breeze.

On a bit of a road trip, staying in Swift tonight. Haven't seen any action so far, couple fields of wheat swathed. Some peas and lentils look real close. Right around the ab/sk border on TC everything looks ripe.

Harvest talk already?? Our canola just got flowering and the wheat ain't headed yet. 150 acres of tedded hay on it's second rinse cycle and I wish I could send it your way. It was almost dry and the wind rolled it into piles the size of a quad before soaking it. Rotting nicely now.
