    Durum starting to Burn up

Driving around checking crops Today noticed quite a few white heads in the earlier seeded Durum today

It looks like the Durum was turning but when you take a closer look the heads are burning up and not filling.

Threshed some of these heads by hand and they are almost empty

With the forecast next week could be seeing lots more of this

2 weeks ago the Durum was looking pretty amazing around here

        Photos taken 2 weeks ago

Was surprised today when I seen how much of the durum is burning up

With the 30+ inches of rain we had last year I thought there would be quite a bit of sub moisture and we have had around 4 inches here in 2017 from April 1st to July 1st

        No rain in July yet

There is lots of areas a lot worse off than our area
