I am most grateful to have been born and raised in a country where pretty well everyone has a chance, regardless of their circumstances, and where by far the majority of people have been treated with respect and justice. Not everyone, I realize, but Canada has historically been held in high regard by most of the free world, if not all of it.

    Of this I am proud.

But as others have stated, I am less optimistic about our status when thinking of the future generations.

Our underlying Christian heritage has been severely eroded and replaced with feel-good and popular-at-the-moment and politically correct policies. Those who are responsible do not have the insight to see the irrevocable link between the influence of true Christian faith and social, spiritual and economic stability.

And then we have our sock-boy head of state give an ass-whoopin' to the people who helped make this country what it is -you're not grateful enough:

    "God keep our land
    Glorious and Free..."

    - because the prime minister is doing his best to tear it down and blame it on you and me.

    O, CANADA!

I wish everyone reading here a Happy Canada Day celebration!

What have most of us REALLY done to ensure Canada stays strong and free. Our ancestors had to face the reality of combat and potentially losing their life or that of a loved one. For those who have lost family in the fight against terrorism this is still very real. For most,it is not something that has affected them. We elect people because the others running aren't going to give us what we think we need not on what is best for the long term. Many have lost sight that lossing their camper or F350 is not the worst thing that can happen. We all need to stop bitching and complaining about things that make life uncomfortable but not unbearable and elect people that have what it takes to do the right thing for keeping Canada strong and free.
