could definitely fix the line, and cost effectively. Omnitrax just wants a government handout.

You can blame Omnitrax. After all, Merv Tweed is President and he's not qualified . . . For anything.

U could run that Port from July1 to end of November if they wanted but like was said earlier the votes come from out east. Same old story. Not whats right for the people who could use it but only right for the people that get elected.

Maybe a populous country with a huge military budget wouldve put a nuclear sub base there in the 50s.
But canada? For wheat!? For 90 days of use!? We dont need it to show soveriegnty over arctic waters anymore.
There is highways over swamp to get to NOLA, but Churchill????
Unless you find a large resource to mine nearby. Let it go.

I went to a Hudson's Bay route assn meeting a few years ago. Learned a few things. Part of the reason the port wasn't open longer was ice. But also insurance was only available for 90 days. It was pointed out that Lloyds of London who supplied insurance had not changed to window for coverage despite better classes of icebreakers being developed.

With global warming I'm surpsed there is any ice up there.

And yes Keewatin Tribal Council would fix it quicker and cheaper.
