        Not sure how some of you guys did it with the stress involved . I would have been a basket case.

            I'd imagine the overwintered seed would germinate pretty well. When we graze banked (overwintered) pasture early in spring the seeds on the clover and cicer milk vetch are still there ready to grow once the cows either knock them down or eat them and it comes through in the manure. It's part of our reseeding program.

                Grassy, I mentioned a few weeks back about grain piles left from plugging my return on the combine last fall that were sprinkled all over my durum stubble. Not one kernel has germinated.

                I think when you get a months of constant wet the seed springs and is pooched. So I can believe that nothing might germinate in disced down crop. If there were more favourable harvest conditions then , ok you will see a lawn come.
