    Traders must be on glue!

    http://futures.tradingcharts.com/news/futures/ICE_Canola_Weakens_with_CDN_Weather_Forecasts__US_ Soy_277934429.html

I figured cnl might get a bounce from this week's storm but evidently going the other way. We got 1.75 inches rain yesterday, showering today on ground that was too wet to seed already and we are way better off than lots of you guys.

I particularly like the comment that recent rains will push seeding into June and that's bullish?? Nothing like sample canola this fall I guess.

Traders have been used to bumper crops, 2017 might just be a jubilee the way things are shaping up.

This tells the real story , that blue are represents a fair chunk of canola acres.
This does not include area that got 20-30 mm yesterday again on top of that.
That blue area , canola will be less than 30% seeded. Of that 30% drowned out already.
Also it's obvious that far south east Sask and Manitoba will need rain asap, as many on here have said .
But talk will be of a record crop ....... again

The market knows jack shit all. Its computers running programs and companies that buy just on time purchases. Watch soon all the companies will send out the flunkies to get you to take fall contracts for 10;50 a bushel fall delivery because the provinces are yellow from end to end.

Its a F#$K show to say the least.

The above map shows the moisture and the moisture lacking areas real well. The area from Calgary to Edmonton is the heart of alberta canola. Yet were going to have a huge crop. F#$K me traders know jack shit.

It's also sort of chilly out ...for as early as some have seeded I am not sure their combines will roll much earlier than guys still seeding....

As usual, bucket has it right.

The map is not always correct. I am far southeast, and the seed needs heat. It certainly doesn't require any more moisture. The ground is cold, and the sprouting process is very slowly happening.

The F word mentioned in tonights forecast. Geeze! The market can stay irrational longer than you or I can stay solvent.
