    Canola Prices

With the weather issues in Western Canada and the US soybean country getting alot of rain, is it time to wean the buyers of oil seeds off cheap grain and put them on a diet of higher prices ahead?

If we're supposed to sell the rumor, do they have to buy the fact?

If you are talking 2017 crop, maybe.
Cliff Jamieson put up a monthly chart to give a few ideas of what techies are looking at.
I throw monthly charts as far out the window as I can.

Honestly why would anyone pay even a fair price for grain to farmers? They don't have too and never will because we have no way of getting them to pay. No control over any sale price period, you get what they decide to give and that's the way it will always be. Guys scramble for a .25 cent a bushel "special" when some elevator screws up and needs to fill a few cars. Its the same with the price of gas at service stations, every one is the same price unless there is a credit card gimmick or some kind of liter log to make you feel like your getting one over on them. When the price goes up there is a ladder leaning against every gas station sign at the same time, but maybe that's just coincidence.

The last thing they want is us "organized", comparing notes, and being vocal and outspoken. They want us competeing for "limited this and limited that". We are easier targets when we are cash(flow) poor. The.worst kind are the ones that stand up for themselves. You don't need a public forum to get your message across, that's what the "network" is for. Personal contact through "personal messaging", emails, phone calls, texting, etc....all effective and screenable if you think you need to.

Are we entering a range bound price for canola for the remainder of old crop stocks?
