The heaviest snow fall amounts will hit the most advanced/mature HRWWheat areas, the eastern plains of Colorado, northern Texas panhandle and west half of Kansas.
Saw posts earlier in the week about headed wheat and wheat flowering already, so if not frozen then will likely be a flattened tangled mess.

Show me a map of the low temps in the US winter wheat growing area. What stage is "most" of the crop in?

We get snow at -1, so then they will say INSULATED the crop at -1C. Wait for damage, I bet minimal.
Ukraine also had snow, they said the moisture will make more grain there , so prices might go DOWN if not damaged.

Farma , just google current U.S. Temps , check out Intellicast . They show a full coloured map of temps. It was interesting this morning , cold air dumped a long ways south.

I'm surprised no one has used this prime opportunity to remind us all that this is the fault of global warming?

I know if that forecast came true on my wheat when it was heading and flowering the results would not be good!

I remember fondly when we had measurements and precipitation in inches.

If this event sends wheat futures higher, at what price level would you start to lock in some new crop wheat?

What grade? #2-13%, #1-13.5? ...is either riskier than the other given they're in charge of premiums and discounts at the time of delivery.

Maybe the next couple of weeks will be interesting in the N.A. wheat market
