I read that late last night. GM had their factory seized reminds me of the old NDP days when regina had a GM factory and the great Tommy was in power.

Typical south American socialist bull poo.

Can't believe there's people here who think these governments are actually good down there.

Don't worry in about 5 years when the factory is run down and workers are gone and equipment wore out they'll give it back to GM with a big media event saying they have successfully "reformed" the place.

But you have to admit this is an effective carbon tax. No green house gases will be emitted when the factory no longer runs or when people no longer drive to work and no cars will be built.
Even though this will lead to more families in poverty and deaths due to starvation, the greenies should be happy with the reduction in green house gas emissions......mission accomplished.

Will Justin, Notley and Wynne taking notes to see what Venezuala is doing?

There's likely a conspiracy afoot here. Trump likely pissed off the Venezuelans (on purpose). They seize the factory so now the production from that factory might have to move back to the US to "Make Amerika great again".

What fascinates me is it wasn't that many years ago Venezuala was held up as a successful example of socialism for all the world to follow. Now because it is a total disaster Chavez is accused of being a corrupt dictator. I remember listening to the president of the NDP's socialist caucus in Alberta being interviewed on 770 news talk radio. He said what he wanted to happen was for the oilsands to be nationalized so it could be shut down. Socialism is socialism is socialism. The far left side of the political spectrum is just as dangerous and corrupt as the far right imo!!!

I would like to make a correction. What I meant to say was Chavez was accused of beng a corrupt dictator. The present leader Madura has gone completely off the rails. I do find commentary on the left blaming the USA for the troubles in Venezuala to be a bit of a stretch.
