    Seeding start ..

If the forecast don't change much , for here anyway, looks like the end of the first week into the second week of May. Three more days of rain / snow on weekend . Then cool still for 5-7 days. We are wet here , but not saturated yet. Less standing water than the previous 5 years... so far .
Not totally uncommon but some guys may get ansy by then. Ground temps will remain very cool and frost slow to come out.
Lots of time to tweak equipment I guess.
Most farms can punch in a lot of acres in a short time now though.
High speed canola planter may be a fit for us now

Typically would be putting pulses in by now. Punched a thermometer in ~4"... 35-37°. Looks cool and unsettled right through till may.

An inch of RAIN forecast for today on top of water every dip, that ought to set us back till May 20. JUST TOO COLD, so therefore WET! Any more liquid poison and who knows, 2017 could be a gong show.
