    Manitoba budget

The PCs second budget appears to show more of the same. But I guess you can always blame it on your predecessors.

Grassfarmer, it would be interesting to see how much debt has been added to Canada's balance sheet in all levels of government since 2009. It is certainly apparent that your new Premier is continuing Manitoba's deficit spending with no slow down.

Lets see when your as broke as Manitoba at 30 billion debt with a little over a million i would say is a pretty big hole to dig your self out of.

That hole was dug grass by the N D P who have ran Manitoba into the ground so to speak.

It would take a miracle to get back to a decent level.

Alberta is going the same path with Ontario right by its side.

And Alberta can thank the PC's for over 17 billion of takeover program expenditure debt.....and fiscal responsibility when times were good (right)...thank goodness we got the government that is getting rid of overpaid PC cronies in some of the highest paid positions, did something about extortion to those who had to use pay day loans, collecting royalties and taxes from corps that "just weren't getting around to it", is bringing in some sort of protection to laborers in agriculture, done something about wages that needed to be looked at.
When you scream look at the economy...have to say...its actually doing not bad...most squeals of agony from overpaid oil related people who needed a knocking down....have a near 60 brother who lost his job due to mismanagement of the oilfield company, who had found a job in the oilfield....friends of ours who sell housing in Edmonton who are recording 20% increase in sales, telecom friend who's business is also up 20% this year...friend who's building in Nisku who is getting offers on it....our building in Nisku which remained fully rented during this time.....some restaurants you need to wait, but those who stuck to the oilfield groupies using their expense accounts are dying....so its not all bad, usually its the crying from the opposition that gets so much air play.
So, we got what we needed when it was needed....but their time too will come to move on..trouble is , there really is no one that deserves to take over....

Pallister has got a lot of balls, he cuts the Tuition tax credit to try to lower the deficit on the backs of students. That's it, hit the ones that can least afford it, not to mention last month's introduction of Bill 31, which would eliminate the rule that capped tuition increases at the rate of inflation and allow for hikes of five per cent plus the rate of inflation. Let's make it more expensive for young people to get a post secondary education. Nothing like having an educated work force!

          This is a quote

" Pallister will get $71,000 this year above his salary as an MLA. Former Premier Greg Selinger's pay packet was 20% smaller - a penalty for running deficits while in government.

The legislation allows for a year's grace period for incoming governments to avoid salary penalties and still run a deficit."

When the legislation suits his personal pocket book it's all is fine!!!

Perfecho give your head a shake. All the NDP have done is replace PC cronies with even more NDP cronies. As far as ag worker protection Bill 6 does nothing but add expense to us farmers and increase bureaucracy.
When size of gov't increases Edmonton is bound to do better. The rest of the province is trying to move on inspite of the lunatics and their boundless new regulations.

And of course most of her advisers came from out of province along with an Ontario company that is going to come out and change our light bulbs!!
I guess were are not smart enough to change our own lightbulbs. Might be right, look who we voted in.
