    Wet Years

The past ten years have been unusually wet in our area compared with long term record going back one hundred and fifty years.
When first settlers arrived in eighteen eighties, sloughs showed evidence of having been full following wet years of seventies.
Nineties were dry and most sloughs dried up.
Grandfather said 1912 was a wet year and sloughs overflowed.
Following that was a forty year period when larger sloughs did not fill up and overflow which they did in nineteen fifties.
Another forty year period when sloughs did not fill and overflow but for past ten or fifteen years they have been doing so every other year or so.
Not caused by but in addition to any drainage that has gone on.

Not to worry the next drought will be blamed on some other doomsayer's nonsense.....

And probably profit off it like AL gore .....

They might start talking stupid like building dams or infrastructure to control water....imagine that.

They'll think of any left-wing scatter brain idea to waste our money and add to our grandkids' inherited debt. Ask Wynne about it. She is so flush with cash, she's going to give everyone $12,000 for solar collectors. Just saying.
