This comment will show you I am not defending Wall, Trudeau, Harper, Wynne, Notley or Pallister....

but the Leader is just a figurehead of the ideological party that was elected. No Leader rules absolutely(albeit some more that others) but the party he represents is the flavor of the day and calling the shots.

I'm not saying the leader has no influence on the government's direction but it is obvious none of them have the complete knowledge or skill set to run the whole show by themselves.

True but if the MPs were listening to their constituents. ....Trudeau wouldn't need this charade of a dog and pony town hall show.....

      Someone isn't doing their job.

The Liberal Party chose him because they thought it was their best chance at defeating the Cons.....do I think Trudeau is in over his head. .....oh ya!

Here is what Trudeau's advisors likely thought:

Justin has a few too many scandals on the go currently with his cash for access scandal and Justin also just accepted a conflict of interest holiday for his family and other Liberals with their significant others.
The ethics commission is currently investigating.

To avoid the heat, Gerald Butts wanted Justin to go on a taxpayer funded selfie tour of Canada courtesy of the CBC. They would screen the participants and ask him softball questions and give hugs at the end of meetings.
A few grumpy grandmas, students and angry taxpayers with high power bills slipped through the cracks and dared to question Trudeau's economic questions!!

The taxpayer funded selfie tour infomercial now has lost most of the CBC coverage .......just wait and see if there is any coverage in Alberta when the carbon tax questions get going.
