Lots of speculation in news media whether Sask premier is on right track to not sign on to federal proposal.
Think US election has strengthened his position immensely.
Not just Sask but all of Canada and especially our resource industries have a major stake in trade and getting along with our largest trading partner.
Do not remember when agricultural and other trade policy is as closely aligned as at present.
Here's hopeing that a protectionist president Trump and his supporters do not follow through with their threats.
It would be a mistake to allow distaste for Trump to spill over into anti-Americanism and policy and activity that too strongly goes against that of their own government.

I think the best approach is to oppose it and fight it.
The province will be fighting it in court and there is another federal election in 2019, it can be killed with a change in government.

It will be like the gun registry boondoggle that ended up wasting billions of dollars, once again the MP in our own province stabbing us in the back will be Goodale.

anyone remember when he was Minister in charge of the CWB and sent out all of those high payed appointed fact finders to find out how the CWB should evolve? when the results came back contrary to the Liberal Party's liking he tossed them and did what Ottawa wanted all along. The East should definitely be taxed and at double rate, because they have the majority of polluters and they have no way to sequester their carbon. Tax by pop, just like the vote goes.

Yes....where is the Royal Commission on CO2 !!!! Too much of a rush and all a political agenda. This is a very important change and few politicians are listening. Also none of promoters listening to one word.
