    2017 crops

Now that we should have a more accurate estimate on 2016 production, time to focus on next year plans.
Corn futures say ten per cent increase in price, soybeans flat and ethanol price down but hogs up.

On input side, nitrogen price is down and land rent costs look to stay same.

Got normal amount of winter wheat seeded, anticipate similar percentage of canola and barley as past few years for 2017.

Way less acres seeded because of current flooded fields.
Probably more bly and oats because of late seeding date.

If it's wet next spring seeding barley is a waste of time. We tried that twice Mudded it in, it came up nice but the next inch of rain and it was gone yellowed right off.

True on the bly. But unless we have a very early..hot April..we will be seeding in June for sure..
Wheat will be non existent..unless we seed all canola?

With the current water level.even if fields dry up next spring..1 inch of rain and they will look like they do right now.

                  Screwed.
