    will post some pics later guys 100% basically on 3000 acres insured but sadly under insured by about 20% due to higher than expected yield

    Too bad about that. I thought it was a fellow Canadian talking about the other white precipitation that falls from the sky. Just got dry enough here to start combining again after only going for one day in the last forty. Hopefully it stays nice for at least a week....

          I feel you pain. Be glad you put on insurance. I've seen that happen to guys with no insurance. How much does hail insurance cost per acre down under?

            yeah fully insured have 2000 acres barley at say 85% pic being 100 other may only be 60% and canola 600 acres 100 % totalled standing we direct head here.

            pictured barley was estimated at 3.5 t ha to 4 tha not sure what that is in bushels

            ps the silos are a near neighbourr

              do you have crop insurance there like we do ? our crop insurance here costs us about $10 for $425 coverage in canola . grain is about half the premium and half the coverage . hail insurance costs us 6 % for canola , 3% for grain .
