Biggest Copper Rally in 35 Years

"Make America Great Again" is having a huge impact on some markets.

    http://www.reuters.com/article/us-copper-rally-idUSKBN1360LU

Copper up nearly 20% this week alone on Trump pledge to rebuild infrastructure.

Dow record high on less gov't, revived business ideas. NASDAQ down on Trump immigration policy concern.

    USD surging pressures loonie.

China buying soybeans aggressively on hog/pork demand and Trump Yen/USD exchange rate concerns.

VIX volatility apt to pick up.

Immediate reaction by business in U.S. is that Trump administration will be good for it.
Some of the same infrastructure spending as promised by our own Canada government.
Do not see much progress in making our country better off than it was under previous govt.
Currency values and stock markets not indicating it.

Neither US nor Canada needs to be letting the Middle East gouge our countries. Enough of that and Trudeau should take note.

Trump said infrastructure. Trudum said new green economy. Difference between fact and fiction.

The Democrats all around the USA are doing their part too by smashing and wrecking everything they possibly can to show that they are in favour of a democratic election win.an election that their veterans gave their life for yet they will fight the results in any means possible.well at least when trump rebuilds all the carnage left behind they will have new stuff to be proud to destroy at the next available opportunity. Cnn is as bad as al jazeera too by the way.

reckon hopalong kinda nailed my sentiments and my feinds in usa actually think he will be good for usa and local economy but bad on world stage and the big picture stuff.

but isnt that what he caimpainged for make america great again and stuff everyone else???

i know thats simplistic and usa will probably tear apart at the seams but was doing that anyway??

I was told by an American in Seattle that the protesters are mostly paid university students hired to make news. Maybe you can't believe everything perpetrated by media. I can't believe media would go to that extent to make news. When I looked at the pictures of the rioters they were mostly white under 35 years of age.

If optimism in U.S. financial markets is justified, have to ask why there is not more spillover into our own Canadian ones.
Uncertainty over trade and protectionism is suggested, also our own government environmental agenda.
If anyone is well positioned to benefit from greater American economic activity, it should be Canada.
Either our own financial markets are too pessimistic or U.S. ones too optimistic.

Bond market shave been selling off since Trump was elected. $1 trillion wiped out in last three (3) days.

The Fed likely has to hike rates in December with Trump now looking straight at Yellen. This ironically could pop the 'Make America Great Again' rally that started this week. Copper rally could also be short-lived.

                        Hang-on . . . it's going to get volatile.

Yes volitility is the new norm. Pm's and copper clubbed like baby seals on Friday. Back the truck up!

Interesting side note its said that a third of the worlds copper supplies are hoarded by chinese pig farmers as a store of wealth.
