"Forage I am not defending Harper but he was in power for 10 years to accumulate the 128 billion."

Maybe so, but you and the majority of Agriville posters weren't complaining about it daily either, were you!!

I'll bet you didn't like Paul Martin either when he was running a $13 BILLION surplus budget?

He was the wrong party right!

Forage, all you've ever done is complain about the conservatives. How come your not complaining about the alta. ndp? Or are they doing everything right and the conservatives are always doing everything wrong?

Forage I think you are quite correct that I would be more forgiving to a politician I am more ideologically aligned with, that is human nature. In doing a bit more reading the Liberals are projecting 145 billion dollar deficit and reducing their economic growth forecast from an average of 1.9 down to 1.7%. On the plus side our Prime minister did say budgets will balance themselves so there is still hope lol

I don't even get wound up about it anymore. There will never be a balanced budget ever again. They don't have to and never will. It won't matter which party. They all know once u give it out u can't take it away. Then they lie and tell something they know they can never do. Trudunce's daddy did it so he thinks its his inherited right to continue the family legacy.

It really doesn't matter how many zeros are left of the decimal point anymore. So long as every other country and level of government is doing the same thing, it will never, and can never be paid back. Might as well play along with the charade, at least until some one decides to play by different rules and the house of cards collapses, at which point so will the paper debt and so it still won't matter.

it gets a little rich when conservatives worry about balanced budgets.

they never do in power re grant devine

when in power they sell of the peoples assets , potash corp. etc. sask oil
sask. power sask tel always helps the bottom line . till there is nothing left to sell.
they do not think that far

( what if we all farmed like a Conservative govt. governs)
sell everything , then lease it all back.

or they give the grain fleet away , so farmers can't get their hands
                on it. under strict orders

actually the liberals sold off CN , but they are pretty much the same
shit as conservatives , different pile. but admittedly ( a friendlier pile)

or sell off our sovereignty in pretend trade agreements.
                both pretty good at that.

face it govt.s do not really mean much any more .
kind of like being a co-op board member
pretend all you want but the orders come from federated.

with govt.s the orders come the corporations that own the partys
voting lets people think they are doing something

Are u ****ing kidding. Government can't run a good business when the labor is unionized. Private owned give more of an incentive to do well instead of the next welfare cheque from the government. Why try hard if u got no skin in the game. NDP wanna keep the workers on the chain gang. Easy votes.
