    P & H flour mill

What's wrong with this picture? Parrish & Heimbecker's new flour mill at Hamilton will be built with the help of a $10 million federal loan through AAFC. P&H also got $5 million from the province of Ontario. Bizarre to see the taxpayers of Canada and Ontario helping a cash-strapped grain company expand its asset base, while prairie farmers are struggling harvest fuzzy feed wheat.

What's so strange about it? Sarcasm.

They are probably also getting growing forward 2 funding as well. ...not much ever ends up in farmers hands but everyone involved will say it will help farmers bottom lines....it won't. ....

Not much news about 2 billion laying in fields.....

G3 built it's infrastructure with government money....

Something is rotten in the state of Canuckistan. I wonder if today there is any true private enterprise going on in Canada. Crony capitalism and state funded enterprise in central Canuckistan is the game today.

Done a long time ago. Before the weather turned to shit. Finished the last few acres of flax the afternoon of Oct 1. Rained the next day and very little has been done in this area since.

              .........so grateful to be finished!!!!

I remember several yrs ago an the graincos said the cwb was the reason there were no flour plants being built in the prairies? Whats the excuse now and why do they need taxpayer subisdised loans? 15 million, is a piss in the wind for these companies. I bet there was lots of laughter at this afteroons tea party.

Keep them jobs out east. Before we know it, the wheat bored will be back.
