The plant in Lloyd will take some. 4 or 5 ppm Vomi. They don't want too much as they have to sell the DDGs for cattle feed and there is a limit there.

From what I have heard, the fus is unaffected by the ethanol process and basically gets concentrated in the DDG. I think its something like 3:1. The same applies to protein.

I was wondering the same. The other thing is does ensilaging kill fus and vomi? Know a guy that rolls wet barley and mixes it in as he is filling silage pit.

I've never backgrounded or finished cattle on prepared DDG feed. Is the vomi level "suuuch" a big deal....if the diet would consist of mostly the vomi grain I could see it being a problem but what about the forage/roughage part of the ration....wouldn't it dilute the ppm's? I thought cattle and poultry were quite "tolerant" compared to horses and hogs.

Maybe the cowboys could chime in.
