    Weather conditions

Very light frost here overnight, only 0 degrees for a very short while.

Couple of guys tried combining wheat straight here yesterday, desiccated---18%, Standing without desiccation---22%(he went out with the swather--it is his seed wheat), don't know if anyone tried swathed wheat. Never heard of anyone doing canola and the neighbors tried their yellow mustard( straight un-desiccated)9.5%.

Hope to desiccate our flax today if the wind isn't hurricane status.

Whats that durum looking like biglentil? Fuzzy, major bleach, sprouts?

A is for Gleaner. The Green combines on the other hand, around here are leaving pure green fields. (Just like a thick, lush lawn.) I guess no one knows how to set them or something.

They don't call 'em the long green line for nothin'.

Canola was either side of 9 yesterday. Took some.

We've been going for the last 4 or 5 days. Lots of 19.5 to 21 moisture wheat. Dryer will be running for quite some time.
Yesterday dryest load was 16.9 finally. That's almost fun to dry compared to 21

Its very slightly bleached from rains under 1 percent fuzz. It should still make #2 I think.

The humidity is 92% this morning and a SE wind. We need SW wind and 20% humidity to dry out these fields. The foreign buyers still don't believe that our lentil crop is a flop. All they've been hearing all year is that massive acres are going to yield massive bushels. Oh yeh, new growers got an eye-opener when they had to buy expensive headers, lifters, knives and pull out of the field after one swipe that took half a day because the rotten plants are pasted to the ground and nothing is coming into the hopper.

It's not just new growers having those issues....

Warmer today should help a lot.
Now there is some moisture in the forecast for Sunday. 7 day humidity forecasts not quite as dry.

Oh well, good day for anything as long as it's outside. Pity the office people today.
                              Barley is testing dry!
