    Something different a medical question

Never ever had any huge medical problems except a hip replacement, shoulder recons and knee cleanouts plus tinnitus.

Anyway since april occurring about once a month have migrains each worse than previous one.

Yesterday afternnon around 3 had sharp pain in lower left side of head real pain, then the left side of my face went all pins and needles and a bit of dizziness. Went to town to see emergency doc a hour away and said migraine and said take this tablet and sit for a hour before going home. Initial thought was something sinister happening to me but doc didn't seem slightest bit concerned.

Did jack shit went home went to bed woke two hour later headach still there but this morning 8 hours later all gone feel fine.

Did some research this morning upon onset of symptoms putting a asprin under the toungue is common as well as migain tablets to be kept in pocket.

Virttually drink zero nowadays once a week only, maybe to much coffee usually have a thermos full a day 1.25 litres perhaps black coffee and strong as well as two cups in morning.

ps second time ive been to the doc with it, maybe I should change docs or a natrupath or irologist??

pps I eat quite healthy as well.

Sorry for non marketing topic but breaks the forum up a bit

Any of you guys suffer and have a remedy?

Did the doc give you rizotriptan? If it didn't help your migraine there is something else at play. I get the odd migraine and take this stuff. It is my saviour.

Some figure migraines are triggered by stress, sunlight, cheddar cheese, lack of sleep, not eating regular etc. I'm a bit photo sensitive so I blame it partially on that and stress. Look for underlying medical conditions, and changes in your life since you started getting migraines. I started getting them after I got a steel gate to the head care of a 4h steer. Hope you get it figured cause migraines are hell. Your symptoms are conducive of a migraine.

I have always "heard" apple cider vinegar works for migranes. I checked the earthclinic weblink and it seems like its worth a try.
Definitely collaborate with your doctor to ensure there is not more to your condition.

Make sure your teeth are in good shape, sounds a lot like my problem last spring, I went to the doctor and I told him what my problem was, and it was bring you to your knees kind of pain, I told him I need an antibiotic for a bad tooth and he told me not a chance it has any thing to do with my teeth so I went and got a bottle of vet stuff and within two weeks my headache was fine then I got the tooth pulled. but bee carful some cow stuff will kill you dead.

Personally don't like the sound of what you just said, not that i know what i'm talking about. The pins and needles represent a function on the nerve a compression somewhere, dizziness comes from the inner ear, also compression down into the inner ear canal can't remember all the big names of that system,do you have hearing loss or tinnitus?if it gets bad get an mri not ct,jack your himilyan salt intact 3-10 grams ad day(really, especially if your working hard and sweating all day, which i know you are you crazy assuie)jack potassium and magnesium(not ionic) supplements and maybe c,d,e,k vitamins, assuming you get 6oz of meat a day, which you probably do..

You'll have much better luck posting those symtoms on curezone.org forums. There is a wealth of info and knowledge on natural remedies there.

Cotton very interesting. I don't get dizzy with my spells but the pins and needles in the extremities is common for me and ****ed up vision. Still though I finally went to my family doctor after my wife gave me some of her migraine stuff and he said if it persisted long enough I should get a ct scan. Well heck I've been bothered for 18 years with this and I don't abuse the medical system but after going I don't know why I didn't go sooner.

I have neck issues, when my neck is out of wack I get a sharp pain in the left side of my head..

                      A Chyro treatment ..

OR if you believe DR OZ...In some people Gluten causes migrains...

Get to a different Dr. I know your the same age as me funny how age starts to catch up with us. Get in and get a CT scan. Could be something with your ears! Could be heart or something brewing inside! But definitely I would get another opinion!

Thanks guys for you thoughts and comments
Teeth are fine 52 and have zero fillings brush brush,my diet I think is quite good but guess I'm kinda of low carb regime.
I think the correct term for my ailment is optic migrane was diagnosis initially but Fridays episode was different.
                            Cotton tinnitus is the issue.
Sleep quite good stress no worse than many farmers I would think.
Guess the thing that was annoying the doctors just dismiss it was in and out in under five minutes.
                            blood pressure good.

Remember a while back 10 yrs ago had a friend who had a mystery illness doctors couldn't find anything after I think 6 months went to a alternate doctor people who look at your pupil and eyes to pick ailments they said he had a brain tumour. After exhaustive efforts to get someone to believe him and after many scans he did indeed have a small one was cut all good still here.

Cant think is it eyerologist don't think that's right.

                            will keep you posted

                            Anyway go aussies in olympics

You mean opthamologist? That probably wouldn't be a bad idea getting him to have a look.. They can detect a lot by looking at the back of your eye. Here, we have medicare. Everyone gets some type of care. But one thing I know is if I asked my GP for a referral, he would get on it, pronto. It can take awhile to get into a specialist unless you pressure for urgency. Good luck.
