    Fert and fuel prices

Anyone check fert prices lately ? Is 46-0-0 still around $350/tonne?

What about diesel for fall? .60 cents sound about right?

And grain prices..... What a crock.

    Dyed diesel, 64.4 cents
    Regular gas, 76.9 cents

Never looked into fertilizer lately,,, shouldn't be forced to take delivery and pay for a hard to store product 9 months in advance of when you need it.

$9.50 canola, $10,50 flax, $5.40 "good" wheat, poor pea prices.... all kinda hard to get excited about. Harvest **** and pillage pricing is upon us.

See who wins the staring contest. Unfortunately, some are blinking already...

Use this to really get depressed. Society is laughing all the way to the bank every time they eat!
          $4 wheat in 1975= $18 in today's buying power...

A neighbour who is about 65 said his Grandfather sold wheat for $4.00 a bushel. That had to be early 1900's.

Well the only difference is that yield prospects have increased significantly. Instead of 15-20 bu/acre you are supposed to get 100+ bu/acre. If you dont then you are not a good enough farmer to grow wheat. The worlds huge supply is a big burden to us. The only trouble is the risk is still there.

Low oil means low wheat prices, Black Sea producers still need hard currency. They will dump the wheat for next to nothing. Those of you thinking they'll be a premium for high protein don't hold your breath.

As for the stock market crashing Errol, are you in or out, if you've been out as long as you have been saying the market is going to crash, boy have you missed a good run. Trying to predict the market only results in getting double whipped. What does Warren Buffet do? Buy good paying dividend stocks and hold.
