AgData Canada-- who and where are they located????

Got a call from them tonight and could not understand the caller. Something to do with canola and wheat if I am correct.

My wife took a call from some survey company tonight, she told the heavily Asian accented lady to call back when I was around.
Call display showed a 12 digit phone number, which I found odd. Maybe an overseas thing?

I've gotten to the point where I only answer numbers I recognize. Most calls these days are 866, 800, and 888. Had one the other day 306 500-something I can't remember. It's all scams or some survey.
BASF called the other day, they wanted to verify my lentil and pea acres to the chemical I bought for incrop. For my troubles they are sending me a leather jacket. I'm sure lots have had this as I called it an audit.

Got one to..Wanted to know seeded acres, expected yields, even amount of grain storage and chemical on the farm...How long will you still farm?

No other industry gets these kinds of questions..

How many tractors does JD and Case have that are unsold?
How many unsold cars does Ford and GM have?

did some more digging and find out it is an American data gathering company. They have an office in Ontario so they can claim to be gathering info for Canada. From now on no more info to ANYONE....

Well I've decided some time ago to always take the cooperative approach(s).

I sometimes tell them that as soon as I've received my fee of $500 dollars for the first 5 minutes, I will give them the data.

Then I have some fun with them.

Other times I have told them that I will answer their questions but I have a short list of questions that they must answer first. They get really antsy when I tell them that I need their personal phone number in order to verify the info - lol...

Oh don't be too quick to hang up - it can be lotsa fun if there's nothing else going on at the time!
