    Sort've funny!

As most manitoban's know, premier selinger has had a major revolt going on in the ndp party for the last year or so, questioning his leadership. Yesterday on the radio, the story in the news was about the fairly large number ( and increasing ) of former mb. gov. employees that were getting hired by the alberta ndp gov.. You know things are bad when besides losing young qualified workers,we're also losing our gov. employees! Hmm, someday alberta may be just like MB.! Sort've funny.

Alberta will never be like Manitoba as we have thousands of ex-PCers (civil servants & politicians)living in luxury on their extremely generous severance pay that our old long-lived PC government conveniently provided for them.

It is wicked how it all came about but it is fact. Some ex-civil servants receive almost double in one month what the average old-age pensioner receives in a year.

Will be waiting to hear that the new NDP gov CANCELS all the severance packages before next election. Or else they will be just as rotten.

Thanks for clearing that up wilagro. So your telling me that after approx.. 15 years in power in mb. that the ndp here don't have any luxurious severance packages and pension plans? Take those rose coloured glasses off, left, right, centre, aside from a few good ones, most politicians look after themselves first, they're all well padded. Put a smile on willy or are you gonna hold a hatred on for the previous gov. forever and blame them for what's gonna happen in alta for the next 4 years?

A week after the Alberta election inwas texting my brother in law in Ft. McMoney. He said the union representatives had already flown in for meetings.
I think its good for him. 1. He has not been laid off so this tells me he provides value and 2. His job should be protected better than ever.
                    I am happy for him.
