    Today's Question period

I happened to catch today's question period in the House of Commons; and was sickened by the governing party refusing to answer the oppositions leader's questions. I must say that Mulcair handled himself in fine form; and I feel reduced the Conservatives to their lowest level imaginable.

What was even more undemocratic; was the speakers silence in making any ruling to direct the response to have some connection to the question posed.

Anyone who would support governing goons who stood in that standing ovation would show that they are unfit to cast any opinion or vote on any matter in the future.

I saw that too. What a bloody display of contempt for Parliamentary Procedure and total disregard for Canadians rights to know what's going on. Those were not tough questions and could have easily been answered in one sentence without giving out too much information. Scheer is about the weakest Speaker we ever had.
If I were the Opposition, I would boycott QP to make a statement that the Governing Party is not Governing, just campaigning. Mulcair was good; too bad he leads the NDP.

How many advisors has Canada placed on the ground in Iraq? The Govt has stated that October 4th was the deadline for intervention and then retraction. Is that date still on track? Not hard, is it?

How many forces personal are on the ground in Iraq? The Govt has stated that Oct 4th would end our intervention. Is that still the schedule? Not hard questions at all, are they?

And get this...the answers pertained to a reported offensive "f*@ing" remark regarding an Israeli report in a national paper. The questions were all about Iraq and the 30 day role of our small contingent of military "advisors" in that country.

There was no connection between the answers and the questions whatsoever.

You never heard that swear word repeated so often by a Conservative politician.

It was obvious that the shock value of that cuss word was expected to have deep impact. To me it totally back fired.

The questioner came out looking sharp and capable of thinking on his feet. The goons stood and cheered at cuss words and total disdain for the institution and lack of respect for simple legitimate questions required to be truthfully answered.
                  The speaker was impotent.
