If they were LEFTISTS as you infer, then they would be enabling state controlled enterprise over private enterprise.

traded for $$$ royalty revenues.... the direct of 10's of
billions investment in Oil Refineries.... Carbon Capture.
Forced $14 billions into power lines through indirect
taxation... gifting this to 'friends' with political

When is the last time you saw or heard that Harper was attending any kind of "prayer breakfast" or other Christian event in Canada??? Ya right, the media would "crucify" him!! (pun intended)

"Prayer breakfasts" have no place in politics IMHO. They are gathering places for HYPOCRITES who use religion to make them look GOOD in the public's eye.

I get a kick out if those on the left that like to
muddy the waters by claiming that fascism is right
wing.  Fascism and communism are both
ideologies that profess total government control of
a country's means of production; two sides of the
same coin, neither of which are "right wing".  
Right wing ideologies believe in leaving economic
choices up to individuals. 

Socialism is wealth destroying fairy tale that
tickles people's ears with false promises of
something for nothing, while their individual liberty
is slowly eroded away until they have nothing left
but the misery of fascism or communism.

Get real...the word libertarians means nothing...a convenient label for people who don't like the status quo and don't like government policy or the dominant societies interference and control in their lives.

In many ways I have been a libertarian and rebel all of my life but I don't believe in complete chaos of the market place like some do. The b.s. of the "market knows best" is really a surrender to dominant traders who don't necessarily have our interests in mind.
