    Mississippi disruption

Barge trafic will be shut down in the northern section of the river. Corn and soy have to be railed alot farther south now. This could be interesting.

It is also going to shut down the barge traffic into the area and likely add costs to fertilizer for farmers in the upper midwest us because the fertilizer will have to be transported by rail.

Whoa the Amerikins got a big, big, big
problemo thats gonna cost them a whole
lotta coin. This should give us Comedian
framers another leg up. Now with all the
legs in the air, we kin really put it to
em. Long live Comedian framing, tar
sands, pipe layin and takeout Chine food.

So grain prices drop because they can not ship or rise because supply is cut off?

will beans look more attractive? will corn have to move up in order to maintain seeded acres? will wheat rise with corn?

I think an analogy like middle east oil could be used,if
iran closed the straight price would rise, different set
            of factors involved,but i don't think/know if the
logistics are there for trucks and rail.
