    CWB Interim 2011-12

The CWB interim payments were announced for the 2011-12 crop year. Does anyone have a guess when we will receive the final payments. It is now close to 16 months since deliveries were first made into this pool and usually we we know by now what the final is going to be, but instead all we get is another interim. I am looking forward to this final payment so much as it will be my last. The new marketing system is working very well, at our local elevator, there has only been one farmer sign up a CWB contract and word is he wishes he hadn't.

The farmer that signed up knows what he is
doing. He is just saying he wished he had not
signed up in order to deflect the fact that he is
responsible for his decisions. The CWB is there
to provide wheat and barley marketing the same
as every other buyer. We know that and the
    farmer knows that as well.
