I've been ponder this but as I got hail and didn't have bags here this year you could be the Beta tester.

Seems to be a huge drop in bags used where ever I drive. Is this the same else where?
Every COOP and Viterra sold dozens of hopper bins.
        A fad losing favor?

speaking for my operation only I may have built my
last steel bin. Nothing is perfect. Not piles. And for
me neither is $3 / bus. for storage on rented land
that only hold air when no crop.
          Bags are,although a pain, a useful tool.
lookit where silos vs bags went for silage.

I put steel on rented land this fall, sick
of spoilage, sick of the long haul home.
Thing with steel, I can always haul them
home. And they were more like 2.50 a
bushel. I have lost far more than that in
piles and rings. They are an investment
that never goes away, and you can write
off the entire lease payment. Just a few
            benefits, IMO.

No bag use isn't dropping, it's a shitty crop. Plus
moving grain off ombine to elevator.

In my hunt for predator dissuasion for
sheep, I found some lights called fox
something or another that flashed totally
at random, and are supposed to keep
wildlife away. If I can find them again, I
will tell you what they are. I wonder if
                  they would work for deer???

For some bags may work for me they were an absolute pain. Always liked pushing snow one day to haul the next and then that night it snows. They are good for short time storage, get them empty before winter, ya they are fine. I built 235,000 bu grain storage a yr ago and no regrets doing it. When i see bags in fields now i say to myself glad its them not me.
