One quarter of farmers believe they can make lots of money if the rest of us quit, sell or rent to them. They can be mega and make millions. They make the other 75% look bad, inefficient or lazy. Those are the farms always held up as successes in every article or news clip. Got to be big or get out. Little to they know that is exactly want those in power and the other 98% of society that needs the food, are hoping for. The prices to mega farms will go down as they try to out do each other to produce for less. They are the most independent, and least likely to cooperate to achieve a goal. Also as farm population decreases, so will political influence. IMO.

Harper has done a miracle with our money. Spending on useless programs. Put us back on the deficit list. An interest time bomb waiting to go off. They are all so worried about jobs in the Mftg. sector , we will be sacrificed. Tweedle dee and tweedle dum support his runaway spending, all to get votes in Quebec and Ontario.

Maybe just me too, but I kind of expected someone of some stature from the Government be it Provincial or Federal to stand up and declare: The myth of farmers control of the CWB is absolutely false. After six decades, it is time that the war measure act which confiscated their property and the freedom is removed. Return farmers freedom over their property.

This could have come from Harper, Ritz or Wahl.

Take your pick, either or any one.

The silence is real, and we have a full slate of our own at the helm or so we believe!

Over the last few years the prime and ag minister have had a number of set backs to a cause they supposedly believe in,marketing choice for western producers. Then on January 21 to have your previous efforts somewhat vindicated and not to realize your good fortune in the political world is, well, just plain confusing and disappointing.

The very fact... that many many folks believe the Supreme Court has started the path towards change... is heart warming.

There is more to this than the CWB.

Elections Canada have been ferocious in attacking the Conservatives.

The whole federal civil service was brought up on Liberal values... it takes real effort to fight battles on all fronts at the same time.
