Grain Pool offers new option choice

Josh Roberts, senior trading manager, Grain Pool

With recent changes in the industry and greater choice when it comes to marketing your grain this season, Grain Pool has introduced a number of new, simple and innovative marketing products across all grains to better assist growers this harvest.

AgraCorp's Harvest Pool for Wheat is a traditional pool with the added benefit of a lower and more transparent cost structure. The Harvest Pool employs passive commodity and FX price protection strategies to gradually lock in pool returns over the life of the pool. This means that as the pool progresses from harvest, its level of price protection will slowly increase as prices are locked in.

The Professional Choice Managed Pool has one simple aim - to outperform the AgraCorp Benchmark Pool. The Managed Pool aims to add value by actively managing the pool from early in the year. This pool is for growers wanting to market grain prior to harvest.

Harvest Pool for Canola - a traditional pool with a proven track record of achieving the highest pool returns for WA canola growers. An early contract bonus of $15 per tonne is available for a limited time with this pool.

Barley Forward Cash Flexi Multigrade Contract is an innovative product that allows you to set the price for feed now and leave the differential (spread) between the feed and malt price unfixed until October 1.
