    CWB VS ND Sun Valley Grain

    Latest PRO
    7.70 Canadian for HRS #1 13.5
    Delivered to ND today #1 northern 13.5
    8.30 us with dollar exchange it equals $8.83 Canadian.
    $1.13 less for Canadian farmers per bushel.
    So all CWB supporters when your combining this fall factor in your bushels harvested of Durum or HRS and multiply it by $1.13 and that's what your CWB cost you. Just your farm not any one else just yours. Oh yea Canola and Peas are exactly same on both sides of the border.

        Sure, but you forget that that is a single spot today's delivery, and you might only be able to haul a single load before the elevator is plugged. The PRO price is an projected price that tries to even the price out over the entire production cycle. Life's not entirely fair, but check the price again in a couple of weeks for us!

          DogPatch...

          You mean like when the price of red spring wheat was $22/bu... in Feb 08... with 2 months to fill the delivery?

          All the CWB 'single desk' is for... is to assure CDN elevator co's and railroads they get their slice out of our Board grain!

            Dogpatch, chaffmeister posted this on a different thread. I have doublechecked it and he is correct.

            In 07-08:

            #1CWRS 13.5 latest (last) PRO = $370

            lowest CWB offering price = $298.80
            highest CWB offering price = $889.95
            midpoint = $591.15
            average = $468.66

            You got $370
            average was $468

            Are you happy with being forced to take a below average price?

            I know I'm not, and am more than happy to take my chances on the open market.

            Follow up question, why do you think single desk supporters need my grain to be able to capture a below average price?
