Just came in from outside, i'm half froze !

it's June 11th, ten days from the longest day of the year, it's 2:00pm, it's raining(for now, i'll keep you posted what it turns into tonight!), it's 5.5C and dropping on my digital thermometer! i live about 36miles from the US boarder, we've haven't sprayed an acre of cereals yet( unheard of with lack of growth being the problem), and it's midway through June. i really think it has to do with sun spots!

Two days ago, I noticed that the alfalfa was drooping when I was checking my cows in the morning. That afternoon I was going to spray my liberty canola and found out why the alfalfa was drooping!! Lost lots of acres in some fields, other fields were harldy touched. I figure about 1/2 section may be toast, but will see in a few days. Plants were already under stress due to lack of moisture (1/8" since 15th April)- though lots of showers within 5 miles of me. Clouds all around me and got another 1/8" rain in raingage last night. Here's hoping for an inch or two of rain quickly and a very hot august to help fall maturity before I get froze out on the back end as well. No longer hoping for bumper canola crop, just hoping to survive to next year.
