Twice today I saw a helicopter with something suspended from it, the missle shaped thing was less than 500 feet off the ground. First time it was flying east west, second time north south.

What is it and what is it doing?

Flying long distances in straight lines...I doubt a spray-copter would have anything suspended from it with a long cable.
